In some projects, they have reported an 80 percent reduction in effort to deliver a new, complete hierarchy in PI AF.

One of the company’s recent projects delivered enhanced access of real-time data through an array of data models for a large-scale Power Generation Utility. The integration combined various source systems, (including process control data, market pricing, work order history, process operating envelopes, equipment monitoring, and alarms), into a sophisticated early warning detection system. This effort had been considered previously by the client, but delayed due to costs and increased demand on resources. Optimate, and the use of FORGE, brought the deployment cost down and alleviated much of the resource demands, and was able to successfully deliver the system. The Utility has reported a significant value to the business, and is planning other data integration efforts with Optimate.
